Christian Hentschel ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter und Promotionsstudent am Hasso-Plattner-Institute für IT-Systems Engineering (HPI) in Potsdam. Er besitzt eine Abschluss als Master of Science in Computational Visualistics der Otto-von-Guericke Universität Magdeburg. Von 2007 bis 2011 hat er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institut in Berlin im Bereich automatische Klassifikation von Bild und Videoinhalten gearbeitet. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind maschinelles Lernen und Computer Vision.
